In this class series we will work with yoga for Back Care to find support and relief for back pain. We will introduce the concepts of ease and release of tension patterns, lengthening, strengthening and endurance. Each class consists of learning, practice and brief discussion. We will practice Iyengar yoga poses to find relief and gently guide the body towards a pain-free movement practice. Each week will introduce different yoga and movement practices in a progressive, developmental way. When it comes to pain, a gentle approach is best. This class series will show how to move in ways that can support healthy movement. This class moves a bit slower than your regular yoga or fitness class. Emphasis is the step-by-step guidance for setting up the poses and working with the back.
