Pranayama is the yogic practice of controlling the breath. It follows the physical practice of asana-s and is the beginning of the inward journey of yoga.
The benefits of pranayama include better respiratory health as well as the ability to calm the mind and body. Pranayama practice maintains the health of all body systems and encourages a more balanced integration of body, mind and breath.
