Open Level. 1 year of Iyengar Yoga experience required.

Inversions will be taught. There are always alternatives during the inversion practice and other times when needed.

**The recording of the class will be available for the students for 10 days.  Zoom link will be emailed 1 hour before each class**

Rebecca Lerner will guide us on a path of yogic transformation, exploring essential yogic principles, and drawing on Chapter 2 of B.K.S. Iyengar’s book, Light on Life. Through Asana and Pranayama, deepen your capacity for reflection, and awaken gratitude and devotion in your practice. Learn to overcome fear of discomfort and uncover and let go of obstacles that hold us back from doing more than we think we are able to do; in practice, in life, and during this dynamic workshop.

 

Rebecca Lerner is co-director/owner of the Center for Well-Being in Lemont, Pennsylvania and a Level 4/ Advanced Jr. I CIYT
 A devoted practitioner since the late ’70s, Rebecca conducts workshops nationally and abroad as well as teacher continuing education programs. Rebecca was a devoted student of Mary Dunn and continues to study regularly with the Iyengars in Pune. Rebecca is an IYNAUS assessor and past chair of the IYNAUS Ethics committee.
 
This well-loved and dynamic teacher unfailingly brings new and illuminative ways of practicing the asanas. By exploring the common threads and intricacies of the poses, as well as their stillness and depth, we find ourselves touching the heart of the yoga of BKS Iyengar. Rebecca invites you to experience the richness that this great lineage of yoga offers.
 
Rebecca’s expertise is the ability to guide her students deeply into the poses in a fresh, insightful and meaningful way. She has a compassionate yet commanding and dynamic teaching style that brings each student to a heightened yogic experience through the practice and application of asana and pranayama. Practical yoga philosophy will be shared within each class.
