Tai Chi

Tai Chi (translated “The Grand Ultimate”) has been practiced for hundreds of years as a method of promoting health and well-being. Recently, a number of healthcare organizations such as the National Institute of Health and Memorial Sloan Kettering have acknowledged that Tai Chi can complement traditional medicine as a means of increasing longevity, and improving balance as well as other quality of life issues.
In class, we explore the most popular system of Tai Chi: the Beijing 24 Yang Form. We concentrate on those elements of Tai Chi that bring students to a meditative state where they are able to experience relaxation and increased mind-body awareness. We welcome beginners as well as seasoned students. Please join us in this gentle exercise, which has given so many people an enhanced sense of well-being.
